Craziness

Things have been crazy at work the past few weeks. Maybe I should explain?
About a month ago, we all came in to work, and our director was gone. Our director is basically a step below Vice President, he runs the side of the call center I work in. Anyways, his office was closed, and of course the rumor mill started. Later that week, we had a meeting given by the Vice President of our department operations, explaining that the director had left the company suddenly. This was a huge shock of course. He wasn't well liked, he made a lot of promises he couldn't follow through on, and cost people a lot of money in incentives and bonuses. Anyways, things have been pretty up in the air since then, which of course affects our production. I work in a highly competitive field, so it's generally stressful enough without outside help!What this all boils down to, is since he left, people have been walking out in droves. In fact, a woman I've worked closely with for the past two years, just packed up her desk and left. This has gone from a bad worse very quickly, and I'm pretty well stuck here. Hopefully there's an end in sight soon. I heard something today from a reliable source, which should relieve a lot of tension if it comes through. Any luck and I'll be able to give more details on that next week.

As for the house.... Well, at least nothing else can go wrong. We were supposed to close 3 weeks ago. I'm supposed to be out of my apartment tonight and well.. that's not going to happen. We were all set to close on the house today, and did a last walk through yesterday... these people trashed the house. In three weeks, it's gone from being uninhabited and clean, to a nightmare. A rusted saw blade was left in the backyard... thankfully I saw that before the children ran around. They had a dog downstairs, which proceed to relieve itself on the basement floor and was not picked up after. One of the stoves (there's two) which was working fine before suddenly doesn't. Service One noticed that on their walk through... and the dryer, which was supposed to be left behind as part of closing, is gone. The story right now was that it was not in working order. So.. at least nothing else can go wrong! Needless to say, the lending company and Realtor are appalled, and closing has been pushed to Friday while the sellers clean the house. Want to know the sad part? The sellers are in their 50's. I might have understood if it was a younger person, or if it had been a rental property, but they trashed their parents house. Aren't they old enough to know better?

I'll try to update more often. There's generally less distractions at work... no kids hovering over your shoulder asking when the computer will be free again! It's been pretty hectic here though since we're short people... the new hires aren't taking calls yet, so I'll post as soon as I can. At least I update here more often than anywhere else!

Boy, I see what you mean. It sounds like both work and the house are real messes now. {half-smile}

I hope things start getting better soon! {Warm Smile}

Things have been pretty messy all over! It looks like work might be getting better soon though. possibly next week. I'm looking out for an annoucement right now... but if it doesn't come, it's back to the job hunt for me!

The house really can't get more complicated than it already is though... *G*
